The Japanese have come up with yet another “tool” to help you combat sweltering summers that you experience over there – this looks like any other short-sleeved polyester shirt from the outside, but when you take a look at the $186 price tag, you would definitely realize that surely all that money forked out for it would have to go somewhere – at that is because this work shirt is equipped with fans.

Kufukucho’s ingenious solution has its DNA rooted in previous cooling solutions such as seat cushions, mats and beds, and this polyester shirt follows suit by integrating fans which will drive fresh, cooling air flow all over your body to make sure you even save on deodorant in the long run. A control box will house a couple of AA batteries to power the fans, and you can even adjust the fan’s speed.

EA sets $80 million aside for Xbox 720, PS4, Wii U

Electronic Arts is already planning a massive budget for the next generation of gaming consoles.

The company’s CEO John Riccitiello recently spoke to investors during a conference call where he said the “fourth-gen” consoles are a key part of EA’s strategy right now.

He also addressed concerns about the state of the industry, with so much focus being placed on mobile and social games, but he said he expects the traditional console market to continue to grow and thrive for years before there should be any real concern.

Of course, Riccitiello no doubt has inside information about each of the new consoles. We on the outside have no solid details about what the Xbox 720 or the PS4 will bring to the table.

The Wii U also remains largely an enigma, with no information on what kind of launch titles we can expect, or the extent to which it will have online connectivity – an absolute must-have feature in this gaming environment.

Among the rumors that have circulated around the Sony and Microsoft consoles are that they could potentially have technology that prevents anyone from playing pre-owned games, effectively killing off used game retailers as well as services like Gamefly.

As for the Wii U, we expect to know everything we need to know after Nintendo’s presentation at the E3 trade show next month. However, both Microsoft and Sony have pledged that they will not announce any new hardware during the show.

So don’t expect to see than $80 million reflected in anything you’ll see on the store shelves any time soon.

Japan iced bra aims to keep everywhere cool

TOKYO — A bra with built-in ice packs, a wind chime and a sprig of mint that was unveiled in Japan on Wednesday is promising to keep women cool this summer.

In a nearly-naked publicity stunt, underwear firm Triumph Japan had models parading around showing off its “Super Cool Bra”, featuring what appears to be a pair of small fish tanks encompassing the breasts.

These cups are filled with a gel that remains soft and supple even when frozen, giving the wearer “a cool sensation against her skin”, the company said in a statement.

A traditional Japanese wind chime — and a mint leaf — dangle between the cups giving an impression of cooling “by way of its refreshing fragrance and sound”.

The company, which has a long tradition of novelty launches that are never made available for public sale, said it conceived of the bra in response to a need to save energy during the hot summer.

With no working nuclear reactors amid heightened public mistrust over atomic power in post-Fukushima Japan, the country has once again begun its “Cool Biz” campaign, urging people to dress down for work and avoid the need to crank up the aircon.
